Frame Rate (FPS)

Posted by David - DriverCam

FPS (Frames Per Second), also known as frame rate, refers to the number of individual images a dashcam records each second to create a video. Common frame rates include 30 FPS and 60 FPS, with higher frame rates producing smoother footage and making it easier to capture fast-moving objects, such as passing vehicles or number plates. Higher frame rates may also require more storage space, so the ideal choice depends on the level of detail you need and the recording resolution supported by the dashcam.
