Viofo 2-pin Hardwire Cable
About
The Viofo 2-pin Hardwire Cable makes it easy to hardwire your Viofo dash cam to the electrical system of your vehicle. Despite requiring a little more advanced installation, hardwiring is a neat way to fit a dash cam because it frees up your cigarette lighter power outlet for another device such as your cell phone or USB charger.
Another built-in piece of functionality of the Viofo 2-pin Hardwire Cable is Low-Voltage protection, automatically cutting off the power to the dash cam at 11.8V for 12V systems and at 23.6V for 24V systems thus allowing the dash cam to record while parked without discharging your battery below that threshold. That said, our advise for parking recording would be to use the Viofo 3-pin Hardwire Cable as it provides more flexibility in terms of cut-off voltage value and also the ACC Parking Recording Switch functionality. This, 2-pin cable, would be a great inexpensive solution for someone wanting to hardwire their Viofo dash cam only for driving (without parking recording).
This hardwiring cable accepts input voltages of 12-24V therefore compatible with both cars and trucks.

Installation Using Fuse Tap Adapters
Despite this hardwire cable is relatively easy to wire up, it is recommended to be installed by a car electrician or a qualified installer. If you reside in Auckland, please consider our Auckland-based mobile dash cam installation service to get your dash cam neatly fitted and hardwired for you.
If you're willing and qualified to install the accessory yourself, the easiest way to pull this off is by plugging directly into your car's fuse box using Add-A-Circuit Fuse Tap Adapter. You can also add this adapter using the drop-down menu on top of this listing.
