Do I need a micro SD card reader?
Posted by David - DriverCam
MicroSD Card Reader is a small device that allows a microSD memory card from a dashcam to be connected to a computer, tablet, or smartphone so recorded footage can be quickly accessed, copied, or backed up. By inserting the microSD card into the reader and plugging the reader into a USB port or compatible device, users can transfer large video files much faster than downloading them over Wi-Fi from the dashcam. This makes card readers especially useful when reviewing long recordings, saving important clips after an incident, or formatting the card. However, removing the card frequently can increase wear on the card slot, so it is best done carefully and only when the dashcam is powered off.
